A Welsh cycle pilgrimage from Llantarnam, Cwmbran to Caldey Island
We will follow the Cistercians in South Wales with stories, communities, historians and hills!
Each day will include 20-30 miles cycling. We aim to 'live simply' with self-catering breakfasts and picnic lunches. On arrival at our destination each day we will share a simple meal provided either by the community we visit or the local pub. Daily Mass, service or prayer will be available in each parish. Our back-up team will provide refreshments, lifts and medical attention as required. Accommodation will be 'indoor camping' in parish halls – not always Catholic, but always an universal welcome!
If you have not cycled for some time or feel your physical abilities may restrict your access to cycling, but might like to join us, please contact us to discuss your particular requirements. Though this is an all-age week, parents or guardians of children are especially encouraged to discuss their family's needs with the organisers. There is an expectation that all cyclists are familiar with cycling in traffic and children under 18 will be the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
If you might like to join us, please email or call us and we will send you a more detailed itinerary to help you decide.
